The website & Velvet Collection serves to provide you a reference to what is being offered on the evening. We will reference the Velvet Collection throughout the night, ensure you have this available when participating.
You understand that if you are participating in the auction you agree to the rules & disclaimer(s) mentioned below. You understand that you are bidding on an individual's offerings, not the individual themself.
There are 44 individuals up for auction split into 4 Collections: Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens & Liberty. There is a short intermission between Collections.
Each individual presentation lasts just over 3 minutes. Valid bid(s) are only taken from the start of the timer.
Lock-in is handled through the auction host as they finalise the winning bid.
Phoenix Nights' takes 5% cut from all winning bids of the auction. This amount is allocated to staff expenditures & event spending.
You are able to participate in the auction either inside or outside for Collections: Brooklyn, Manhattan, Liberty & Queens.
We have a tele-bidding system that allows us to intake bids from outside should the venue be at capacity so you won't miss out on the chance to win.
We allow bidding by proxy, where a bidder is bidding on behalf of someone. Whether this individual can't make it personally or is unavailable at the time during the event. Please declare this in your registration.
CLUB VELVET
To the outside world, it is a rumour whispered at after-parties and private fittings... an impossible auction, a phantom salon where fashion changes hands without ever touching daylight.
To those inside, Club Velvet is a covenant: a living system of power, secrecy, and taste curated by the Monroe twins themselves. Potential members are observed for years: from collections to betrayals, through their best kept secrets.
The invitation arrives unmarked, delivered by hand, accompanied by a single object: a strip of deep purple velvet embossed with a gold sigil. The fabric is not decorative; woven into it are microfilaments used as both authentication and tracking. If destroyed, the invitation voids itself. There is no second chance.
The monroe twins
Valentina and Valerie Monroe were born into old money, raised in a world where power was inherited but respect was earned. Their family fortune was built on discreet investments, private collections, and influence that never appeared in public records.
From a young age, the twins were immersed in elite circles: fashion houses, closed-door galas, and private showings meant only for the most powerful eyes. She prefers anonymity, letting others speak while she silently orchestrates outcomes from behind velvet curtains. Shy in public, she communicates best through precision and planning rather than charm. Designers who earn her approval hardly realize how pivotal her decisions are.
